Tregovenek (meaning ‘place of hope‘) is a new and exciting community project based on the outskirts of Pensilva, Cornwall.

We are a Community Benefit Society currently turning the vision of a community-owned, community-run regenerative space into reality.
We share land-based and sustainable-living skills and knowledge through weekly volunteering opportunities.

The design so far consists of four main elements: the field and outbuildings, a community hub building, residential bungalow and a community garden. Click on the pictures below to see more information.

Our beautiful crowdfunded, volunteer-built community garden continues to blossom and grow. Much of the wider site needed clearing and tidying. We have upgraded the bungalow to rental standard which has included fitting solar panels and an air-source heat pump, as well as giving it a new lick of paint.
Behind the scenes, a dedicated crew of people have been working hard at making sure our governance, structure, finances and ways of working are in place, robust and clear so we can build on strong foundations and be a resilient and stable organisation. For more details on this see ‘How it Works’.
So far this has been achieved by enthusiastic volunteers. If you would like to get involved in any way, feel you have something specific to offer, or you have any questions we would love to hear from you.
For this to be truly community owned and led, we need you!

The Vision
A small, abundant community space that has the health and wellbeing of the local community, the land and its wildlife at the heart. A place where we will connect, learn and work together to discover what it is we each have to offer to help build a better, fairer world for generations to come.
